Consafe have been suppliers of PPE to the industry for the past 30 years. We offer safety solution that covers the supply of Head-to-Toe Personal Protective Equipment to clients ranging from small resellers to major blue chip and multi-national companies. Our business model offers both On-Site store supply where we cover a FULL VMS service as well as OTIF (On Time In Full) or better known in our industry as “Knock & Drop” delivery service.

​Consafe currently has 10 On-Site stores and 3 retail stores which excludes our Head Quarters in Boksburg. Our On-Site stores are situated in Witbank, Secunda and Sasolburg where we offer a Vendor Managed Solution that includes reports on consumptions and users as well as stock controlling and management.

​Our retail stores are currently situated in Sasolburg, Durban, Trichardt and Boksburg. These stores have been specifically placed to service walk-in clients as well as contractors. All of the above mentioned stores are serviced from our Head Quarters in Anderbolt, Boksburg.

​Consafe have a 25 000 meter squared production facility in the Eastern Cape. The factory employs 1 200 production staff and 30 marketing staff. Consafe manufactures and sources all other products directly from the manufacturers, cutting out the middle man and providing the widest range at the most competitive prices. From its distribution center in Boksburg, Consafe distributes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout Africa and Southern Africa. To enable quick delivery and exceptional customer service; Consafe maintains a considerable warehouse and is able to dispatch goods off the shelf via a fleet of delivery vehicles.

​We are distributors of all major brands including Grange (Who we are the proud brand owners of), Uvex, Bova, Rebel, 3M, Drager,  ATG, Bronx, Wayne, Lemaitre, Honeywell and Spiderwebb. Consafe are manufacturers of leather, protection and foundry wear. We are direct importers of eyewear, ear protection, gloves, chemical clothing, rainwear and disposable wear.

Consafe’s goal is to supply equipment to clients that is of a superior standard and quality. All of our products are manufactured in accordance to the local and international standards and statutory requirements. Consafe has the largest range of locally produced leather hand protection and workwear. We provide support services with regards to the provision of PPE and support localization projects to encourage supplier development programs.

Giep and Cathy Le Grange are the founders of Consafe and the PPE brand ‘grange’. Consafe was founded in the year 1988 and established in Boksburg, Johannsburg. Mr. Le Grange gained knowledge and experience through several job positions   in the industry  by the time   he decided to open up his own company… And so, Consafe was born.

Consafe started off by selling leather hand protection before branching off in other PPE  where Consafe held the title of the Largest Leather Glove Supplier in South Africa, holding all major contracts such as Anglo American, Sasol, Escort  and railways with SABS approved products.

“When Consafe started, there were very few PPE suppliers in the country. Today there are many, but we have managed to maintain our position in the market with branches throughout the East of South Africa.” Says Mr. Le Grange.

Cathy Le Grange says that although she has very little involvement with Consafe today, Mr. Le Grange is still a financial director and they both hold shares within the company.
